The season is over and you’ve likely lost weight and muscle mass due to the cardio-intensive training sessions and games that you’ve participated in over the course of the season. The Offseason: Strength Endurance & Mobility program is a challenging 8-week program focused on building strength & muscle mass while considering muscle stability and mobility.
The program is designed to build upon itself. Each week you will progress from basic/traditional movements to more advanced movements. Weeks 5-8 will be a repeat of weeks 1-4 with added sets and reps … make sure to keep a workout journal so that you can monitor your loads and increase your weight as you moved through the program.
When performing exercises that require weights, use warm up sets to find the right weight for the workout sets. While performing your workout sets you should be using a weight that is challenging but allows you to maintain great form. Focus on form NOT how much weight you can lift.
