Workout Programs
Workout Seasons
For the purposes of the workout programs that we post, here is how we define the seasons and our general program focus during each season:
- Postseason: The 4-6 weeks immediately following the end of your sporting season. During this period we focus on REST -> recovery and mobility.
- Offseason: The number of weeks vary, but essentially the time between postseason and preseason. During this period we focus on rebuilding fundamental strength and stability with very light cardiovascular work.
- Preseason: The 6-12 weeks leading up to your sporting season. During this period we transition to muscle endurance and start to increase cardiovascular training through a variety of programming styles.
- In-Season: Your sporting season. This period is a time for maintenance workouts only and most workouts will focus on active recovery.
